ASCE EMI Mini-Symposium – Seismic Isolation: Theoretical Advancements, Experimental Insights, and Innovative Applications

Seismic isolation stands as the foremost solution for safeguarding against earthquakes and has been applied to a wide range of structures and infrastructure, including buildings, bridges, historical landmarks, hospitals, emergency operations centers, nuclear power plants, industrial facilities, transportation hubs, etc. In the evolving realm of engineering mechanics, seismic isolation continues to be a focal point of pioneering research and innovation. This mini symposium will provide a platform for researchers and professionals to share and discuss recent advancements in seismic isolation, including both theoretical and experimental aspects, as well as innovative practical applications.
